Directory purpose
The Ottawa Business Directory helps users discover businesses operating in or serving Ottawa, Ontario. Directory information is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or professional recommendation.
Premium listing services
Businesses may purchase premium listing services to increase their visibility in the directory. Available features, placement, duration, pricing, and renewal terms will be described before purchase. Purchasing a premium service does not permit inaccurate claims or guarantee customer enquiries, sales, search rankings, or other results.
Payment and refunds
Where fees apply, businesses must provide accurate billing information and pay the stated amount. Unless a separate offer states otherwise, fees are non-refundable after listing review, preparation, publication, or another purchased service has begun, except where required by law. Any recurring service terms will be disclosed before purchase.
User responsibilities
Users must use the website lawfully and must not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit harmful content, impersonate others, or use directory information for deceptive, abusive, or unlawful purposes.
Business responsibilities
Businesses are responsible for providing accurate, lawful, and current listing information. A business must have permission to submit all text, images, logos, and contact details and must promptly report material changes to its listing.
Intellectual property
The website's original design, organization, text, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Business names, logos, and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Submitting content gives us permission to edit, reproduce, and display it for directory and promotional purposes.
Limitation of liability
The website and directory information are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, the Ottawa Business Directory is not responsible for errors, interruptions, business conduct, purchasing decisions, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the website.
Right to remove listings
We may accept, reject, edit, suspend, or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, outdated, harmful, unpaid, or inconsistent with our directory guidelines or purpose.
Changes to the terms
We may update these terms as the directory or its services change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
